Ordering - How to place an order

If you haven't shopped with us before, you’ll need to create an account.

Just click on LOG IN in the top right-hand corner of the Home page. You’ll need to give us some information about yourself, where you want us to deliver to, any items in your veg box that you may want to swap, any special place where you want us to leave your box, and your payment details.

It’s pretty simple stuff, just follow it step by step.

My orders

Q. Can I swap the items I get in my vegbox?
A. Sure. Just let us know those items you really won’t use and we’ll swap them for something else. The best way to tell us is to use the message box when you order. Or you can email us at info@goldhillorganics.com

Q. Can I swap the items I get in my juicing box?
A. Our juicing boxes come as they are so you won't be able to make any swaps. However, you can add more items from our 'Build your own' section and it will all get delivered with your juicing box.

Q. Can I swap the items I get in my meat box?
A. Our meat boxes come as they are so you won't be able to make any swaps. However, you can add more items from our organic and non-organic section and it will all get delivered with your meat.

Q. Is there a minimum order value?
A. Yes, £10.95

Q. Do I have to order a vegbox or can I just order other items?
A. Yes, you can, so long as you place the minimum order of £10.95 

Q. How will I know what’s in this week’s veg boxes, meat boxes and juicing boxes?
A. For our veg boxes, simply look at the website, click on the size of veg box you want, and you will see the individual varieties listed for that particular week. Its the same for our meat and juicing boxes, just click on the individual box and the contents for the week will all be there for you.

Q. Can I set up a regular delivery, say, every week or every other week or do I have to re-order every week?
A. Yes you can set up a regular delivery.  If you contact us by email at info@goldhillorganics.com or by phone on 01747 811077 or 07949 129535, we can get it set up for you.

If you prefer to re-order every week, or when suits you, just login to your account and select ‘Order history and details’. From here you can access all of your past orders, select the order you wish to re-order and press the ‘Re-order’ button.

Q. If I am getting a recurring order can I go from, say, a medium veg box to a large veg box, or one type of meat or juicing box to another?
A. Yes you can, just let us know by phone or email what you would like to do.

Q. If I am getting a recurring order, can I add extra items each week?
A. Yes you can, just email us at info@goldhillorganics.com or call us on 01747 811077 or 07949 129535 and we'll put the order together for you.

Q. If I’m going on holiday, or just want to skip a week, can I do that?
A. Yes you can, just give us a call or drop us an email to tell us.

Q. Is there an order cut-off time?
A. Yes, 24 hours. If you are ordering meat, we need to know 48 hours before your actual delivery day. 

Q. How do I know the day on which you deliver?
A. Just click Delivery day and it will tell you. 

Q. Can I change the day on which you deliver to me?
A. For us, that's quite a tough one. So in the interests of efficiency, we are going to have to say no. Sorry about that.

Payments

 

Q. How do I pay for my order?
A. We’ll take payment from your card on the day we deliver to you. We accept all types of credit or debit card, so that's Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Maestro. You can also use Paypal. The only one we don't take is Amex.

Q. I’m a bit concerned giving you my card details, how secure is your site?
A. Fair question.  We bank with HSBC who process all our on-line payments through Global Payments, HSBC’s preferred supplier of card processing in the UK. HSBC and Global Payments use the very latest encryption security, so we won’t be able to see your credit card details at any time. You are actually giving your card details to Global Payments, not to us. And please remember, for security reasons, never email your card details to us.

Q. Will you accept cash or a cheque?
A. We would much prefer you to make a card payment through the website. 

Q. Is there a minimum order value?
A. Yes. £10.95

Q. Will you give me confirmation that my order has been placed and that payment has been made.
A. Yes. You will receive an order confirmation from us by email and, also from us, a further email confirming that your card payment has been successfully processed, both a minute or two after you've placed your order. 

Deliveries

 

At Goldhill Organics, we feel strongly that our job isn't complete until your order has been delivered safely to your door in perfect condition. We have tried to answer all the questions you may have but if there is anything you would like to ask us, just send us an email to info@goldhillorganics.com or simply give us a call on 01747 811077 or 07949 129 535.

Q. Where do you deliver?
A.We deliver to every postcode in the UK, Tuesday to Saturday.

Q.When will I get my delivery?
A.If you live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, we will deliver to you free in one of our Goldhill Organics vans. Just take a look at Your delivery day to see on which day we deliver to you. If you’re not sure, just ask us.

If you don’t live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, your  order will be delivered to you by our logistics partner APC Overnight.

If you place an order for a juicing box before 12.00 noon between Monday and Thursday, it will arrive within 2 working days.

If you place an order for a juicing box on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it will arrive on Tuesday.

If you place an order for a meat box, it will arrive within 2 working days of us receiving your order.

For both juicing and meat boxes, if you prefer, you can specify the working day on which you would like your order to come. You can let us know by using the ‘Customer Message’ section when you put through your online order, or simply call us up.       

If you want your order delivered on a Saturday, there will be an additional charge that will be put onto your bill at checkout.

It would be really helpful if you could leave instructions on where your order can be  left safely if you are out. You can let us know by using the ‘Customer Message’ section when you put through your online order, or simply call us up.      

Q. How much is the delivery charge?
A. If you live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, we will deliver to you free in one of our Goldhill Organics vans. Just take a look at your delivery day to see on which day we deliver to you. If you’re not sure, just ask us.

If you don’t live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, there is a delivery charge of £4.50 for a standard working day delivery.

For all orders totaling £60.00 or over, working day delivery is free.

Our Premium AM or PM Delivery service is also available at an additional charge of £5.95.

Q. Will you deliver to where I work?
A. Of course. If everyone at work is happy, we’re happy. Just let us know the postcode, and we’ll get it done.

Q. Do I need to wait in for you to deliver?
A. No, you don’t.  Just make the delivery instructions you give us clear when you place your order so your order can be left in a safe place: in a shed or garage, under a hedge or in a porchway.

Q. At what time will my delivery arrive?
A. If you live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, our Goldhill Organics driver will be with you anytime from 9.00am till 9.30pm. We may get beaten by the weather or even the odd traffic jam! Either way, we'll always let you know if we're going to be later than 9.00 pm. 

If you don’t live in Dorset, South Somerset, West Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire, your  order will be delivered to you by 6.00pm on your chosen delivery day by our logistics partner APC Overnight.

Q. Can I contact you on the day of delivery?
A. Yes you can. You can call us on 01747 811077 or 07949 129535.

Q. If you are leaving my box outside because no one will be at home when you deliver, the contents could get damaged?
A. Don’t worry, all our veg and juicing boxes have got a cardboard lid to protect the contents, and our meat and cheese items are packed in a separate polystyrene box. 

Q. I’ve ordered meat and dairy items. How will it stay chilled?
A. All the food is protected in our boxes and anything that needs to be kept chilled (meat and cheese) will be protected by a hydrated ice sheet that will keep it at the right temperature until you unpack it. So long as the box is not opened, it will remain below 8 degrees Centigrade. Once you receive your meat or cheese it should be stored in your fridge.

Q. What do I do with the boxes after you’ve delivered?
A. We would like them back please, so we can re-cycle them. Just leave them out in an obvious place and we will pick it up next time we deliver to you. 

Swaps

We want to give you as much flexibility as we can so that you get exactly what you want. Which means that you can swap individual varieties that you won’t use, are allergic to, or grow at home, for those items that you do want and work for you in your veg box.

Q. How do I let you know what I want to swap?
A. When you place your order for a veg box, you will see a message box. Just put what you want to swap in there, we will see it when your order comes through to us. Or simply email us at info@goldhillorganics.com or call us on 01747 811077 or 07949 129535

Q. What can I swap for?
A. Any variety of vegetable that is in any of our veg boxes for that particular week. Just look at the weekly veg box contents, make your choice and let us know.   

Q. Can I swap items in my meat boxes and juicing boxes?
A. Our juicing and meat boxes come as they are so you won’t be able to make any swaps. However, you can add more items to your juicing from our Build Your Own section and it will all get delivered with your juicing box. You can add more items to your meat box from our organic and non-organic meat sections and it will all get delivered to you with your meat box.

Q. If there is a variety that I really dislike, can I exclude it permanently
A. Yes, you can.  When you place your order, you will see a message box. Just put it in there, we will see it when your order comes through to us and we’ll make sure you never get it in your box. Or simply email us at info@goldhillorganics.com or call us on 01747 811077 or 07949 129535.

Q. Can I skip an item for one delivery, say, like potatoes, and then go back to it?
A. Yes, you can. When you place your order, you will see a message box. Just put it in there, we will see it when your order comes through to us and we’ll make sure you receive it when you want it and not when you don’t. Farm Shop

Gold Hill Organic Farm Shop is open every Thursday and Friday, 10.00am till 6.00pm, and every Saturday from 10.00am till 4.00pm. We’d be delighted to see, and if you have time, take a wander around the farm.

Gold Hill Organic Farm is situated in Child Okeford, Dorset, DT11 8HB
